Research Description
As connected vehicle infrastructure and their supporting data systems become more available, OEMs and CV data suppliers are thought to become more interested in the use of TSMO data from agencies. Since both agencies and OEMs do not want to develop interfaces to each system, a common data interface may be needed to reduce the operational costs to agencies and the OEMs.
Additional Supporting Information
This research would review and develop: • what agencies are currently doing to prepare for OEM integration with CV data, • identify types and formats of data • use cases for improved CV data and OEM integration (road user charging, detour routing, etc.) • potential data mechanisms and quality needed for both OEMs and agency TSMO programs • identify potential standards use and needs
