Research Description
How will truck platooning affect congestion on freeways? How will this affect parking requirements for trucks (since they will be traveling together)? what are the implications of lane restrictions on truck platoons to both goods movement and freeway operations? This might be a synthesis study based on current FOTs or studies of the operational implications for carriers (beyond fuel savings).
