Research Description

Study on the Role of V2X in merging AV and CV toward CAV. The study will provide systematic reviewing of how the V2X technologies will impact on the migration of the AV and CV into the CAV ecosystem.

What we hope to learn: • Gain deep understanding of how the V2X technologies would help with this merging progress. • On the AV side, how V2X will support the AV migration perspective in L4-L5 levels; • On the CV side, how V2X will naturally help the incorporation of AV sensor and data during the migration toward the CAV • What’s the low hung fruits of the V2X applications in the migration duration and how it will impact the adoption of the V2X technologies (via market penetration)

Additional Supporting Information

Benefits: • Provide systematic reviewing of the migration CAV technology roadmap • Provide reference and guidance for multiple stakeholders (OEM. IOOs etc.) in planning the deployment of V2X technologies
